redpulse PHOTO USAGE PERMISSIONS: I am merely a humble provider of links to the folks who do the real work and own all the wonderful images out there. If you are seeking permission to use some of them, you need to read the fine print on the particular website and/or contact the person or webmaster listed there. If you are having trouble finding this information, please feel free to contact me with the name of the site in question and I'll see if I can come up with a lead for you. Sometimes the information is tucked away in the page code.

WHY I DON'T HAVE (M)ANY LISTINGS FOR THE USA, CANADA, ETC.: Many years ago, I earned a BA in History, mostly European. I have continued to read in that area, so when I started websurfing, that's where I went. Just my personal preference. When I decided to do a website, my collection of scenic bookmarks seemed a good topic.

WHY IS/ISN'T (FILL IN COUNTRY NAME) LISTED UNDER (FILL IN CONTINENT/GEOGRAPHIC AREA)? I know that there is more than one way to slice up the world, and that sometimes those slices cut across political/cultural/ethnic/geographic sensitivities. Knowing that no classification system is likely to satisfy everyone, I chose to follow the excellent free maps (see above) provided by Graphic Maps.

SUGGESTIONS: As you may have noticed, not all the sites are in Europe. A few travellers on TSR have been kind enough to send in some suggested websites. As time allows, I check them out and include them. Further contributions are welcome.
